Riccardo Santoboni was born in Rome on 01.01.1964, has dedicated his life to music and musical research.

Fields of Research
As part of the music research deals with interactions between humans and computer systems (Human-Computer Interaction-) at the end of the generation, control and processing of sound by acoustic instruments and electroacoustic. To this end is doing, at the Faculty of Engineering 'University of Studies of Rome-Tor Vergata-through many thesis of which was a speaker, several projects for the implementation of hardware and software, professional quality low cost, for the interaction between performer / s, electronics and video. At the same deals with models of perception and psychoacoustics.

It 'was a musical consultant at the IRIS (Institute for Industrial Research and the Arts) of Paliano (FR) 1994 to 1998, where he studied the issues related to the electronic music and computer music.

Projects and achievements
He designed and built the system for interacting multi CAMARD (visual, acoustic and tactile) between performer and computer to control the generation and processing of sound.
He designed and built the SATURN software interface for the interaction between performer and computer live electronics, with which he received special mention at the composition F. Evangelists of New Consonance 2009, with the song "Resonabilis echo", for voice and live electronics.
He designed and built the software interface used for the FIA-BA samples and sound management of the electronic interaction between live performers and computers, used in the staging of the opera "The dwarves and the wizard Grandosio", composed by the writer , for solo voice, video, and ensemble.

Artistic activities

He is a founder and the president of the Cultural NABLA association, which aims to promote the culture of music, especially Italian, particularly in social environments are not particularly sensitive to certain musical languages.

 With this in mind he founded in 2000, the Nabla ensemble, which is director and principal conductor. This ensemble that aims to spread of electro-acoustic music in venues that are not expressly appointed to fruition, and the production of original work based on multimedia, interaction between acoustic instruments, live electronics and live video. With this ensemble has produced several multimedia shows, fairy tales for children with multimedia interaction and electro-acoustic concerts.

He has recorded with such ensembles, the CD:

 "Through the Eyes of Ovid" for soprano, electronics and acoustic instruments, in collaboration with the New York University and the Museum of Arts in Constanta (Romania). - [Live recordings made at concerts in Rome, Konstanz and New York in 2009/10].

 He also founded and was principal conductor of the orchestra string NABLA, specializing in Baroque repertoire, which performs regularly with the middle and late Baroque repertoire in concert halls is of national importance, and at small, local, in adherence to the principle inspiring the cultural ..

As conductor he has conducted orchestras including the Orchestra "A. Scarlatti "of Naples and the Symphony Orchestra of Pescara, in prestigious theaters and auditoriums (Music Park-Rome), Naples, RAI Auditorium, Auditorium E. Morricone (Rome), Loewe Theater (New York), etc.. Some of his performances have been televised and radioed (RAI international).

Concerts
The writer has an intense concert activity as a performer in live electronics and director of contemporary music ensemble since 1995, these concerts were performed in both his work and works by other composers and electro-acoustic Italians and foreigners.
